I was taking a bike ride around town and noticed how beautiful the evening was. I have a good habit of carrying my camera around. So I thought, why not take pictures! There is this romantic spree( Its a 'hill' in fact..hehe) where you can have a good view of the beautiful sunset and the whole town as well. Check out this photos..
See what I am talking about. They may not be perfect, but they are still beautiful, right?
TOWN RESIDENTS DO POLICE JOB
Due to the rampant cases of killings and robbery by a notorious local gang, the residents of Mwingi town decided enough was enough. They matched to the DC's office and demanded a letter so that they could put an end to what the police should have done a long time ago. Armed with a letter from the DC, their hunt for the crooked goons began immediately, and it was officially legal. The mob combed the town for two days. Woe to the gang members that were caught.
Those who failed to confess their bad deed were either killed on spot or wounded badly while those who confessed were matched to the local police station. The residents blamed the police for allowing such people to terrorize innocent Kenyans. They also did not understand why the Police released those same criminals after a short while when caught doing crime in the past.
I think there won't be cases of robbery in Mwingi Town for some time to come, who wants to die anyway?
ABOUT MWINGI TOWN
Mwingi is a town in the Eastern Province of Kenya. The town is located along the A3 Road between Nairobi and Garissa. It has three constituencies, Northern, southern and the recently formed central constituency. It's a part of Kitui county. The population of Mwingi, Kenya is 11,219 according to the GeoNames geographical database. Its a rapidly growing town. In the last four years we have seen bank branches, estates, hotels and supermarkets increase in number. Don't get surprised when I tell you that Mwingi town has a 'CBD(Central Business District)', because its there. Most banks (KCB, COOPERATIVE BANK OF KENYA, EQUITY BANK, POSTBANK and K.W.F.T) as well as shopping centers are found in the CBD. A large fraction of the town's population is found in 'Downtown' as town residents call it. One thing to be admired in this town is the peaceful nature of its residents. The majority people here are Kamba but we also have Gikuyu, Somali..and so on. There have been no clashes as far as I know. Network coverage is superb, thanks to the various network
providers.
